About
Welcome to the home of Notes from the Underground on the web.
We are a literary and cultural magazine and production company founded in 2007.
After publishing 350,000 print copies of the magazine and publishing hundreds of authors in print and online in the last four years, Notes from the Underground has relaunched in 2012 with a team of Associate Editors.
Our fifteen Associate Editors will each run a section covering a broad range of topics from the intersection of art and science, to the hidden art in objects in London, to the future of online comedy.
Alongside this we will continue to try to publish the best new short fiction and give exciting new authors a platform, which is what we set out to do when we founded the magazine in 2007.
While nftu.co.uk will be the hub of Notes from the Underground’s activities, we will continue to remain rooted in the offline world with a series of events and collaborations throughout the year.
NFTU is edited by Chris Vernon and Tristan Summerscale.
